How pressure washing is related to the 'rona.

Years ago, my husband and I were waking up early, packing our lunches, dressing our sleepy kids, and packing their diaper bags before dropping them off at their daycare. Then, we'd spend the next 45 minutes to an hour and a half fighting traffic just to get someplace we barely wanted to be.

My husband, Daniel, was trying to adjust to life after the military and trying to build a new career working for professional sports teams. I was working in a corporate office, day in, day out. Each day, we'd repeat the same routine of picking our kids up after school, grocery shopping, making dinner, and getting them ready for bed, just to do the same thing the next day.

All the days seemed to blend together until, one day, the world stopped. They told us to pack our things and head home. Something called Corona virus was changing our normal everyday lives. I thought I'd be out of the office for a week, two weeks tops. I was able to work from home, which was great. Daniel started out being able to work from home, but this option quickly went away as the company decided they would have to furlough their employees.

Since we still had mouths to feed and bills to pay, we had to figure something out, fast. Daniel explored a few options and even worked for another professional sports team in Charleston, but by the end of it, we decided we no longer wanted to be dependent on another person or business to make sure we could pay our mortgage and buy groceries again. So, Big Wave Power Washing Co. was born out of necessity.

Daniel quickly got to work on becoming the expert in his field. He spent hours and hours of researching the best equipment, the best products to use. He reached out to several professionals in the pressure washing community and spent time shadowing them and learning the best techniques. Power washing became a passion. We learned how each day can truly become a vacation when you love what you're doing.

If you would have told me several years ago that I'd be talking about how to soft wash in Summerville, or surface clean in Charleston, or pressure wash bleachers in Mount Pleasant, I don't know if I'd believe you! Now I can tell you how oxidation build up can ruin siding on a vinyl house or not to pressure wash a brand-new driveway so it doesn't cause etching.

It's great to be a part of something we are truly proud of. This business is our baby, so we really care to do the best work. We love our happy clients and having a great reputation in the Summerville, Charleston, and Mount Pleasant, South Carolina areas. And that is how pressure washing is related to the 'rona.
